Spalding’s history

Collection

Spalding is a village in the Rural Municipality of Spalding No. 368, and agriculture has long driven its local economy. The name comes from Spalding, Lincolnshire, England, the birthplace of Pattie Hutchinson, wife of Joseph William Hutchison, the community's first postmaster.
